How to Use Samsung Find My Mobile


The service named Find my Mobile phone locator works same as Google Find My Device. It will show the location of your device on a map and provides you some tools to find the phone. Samsung Phone Tracker is one of them and it helps to keep tabs on your phone til you get the phone back. 🙂 🙂 

How to use Samsung Phone Locator

If you are a new user of Samsung Find My Phone, first you have to agree to its terms and conditions. And then it will show the location of your phone after a very basic setup.

Note: Samsung Find My Mobile will only function if your phone is on. If it is off you have to check frequently until someone turns it on. If the battery is dead, you have to do detective work to find the phone.
    1. Go to Findmymobile.samsung.com. You can use any computer with internet connection for this. In that site there will be Samsung’s online tool for locating a lost device. If you are not signed in already, click Sign In.
      Note: If you have signed in before, the tool will immediately locate your phone and show it to you. The tool remembers all the phones you have used on this account, but only locates the phone you are using currently.

  1. In the sign in screen, enter your email address or phone number that used to set up the Samsung account. And then enter the password.
  2. If this is the first time you are using the tool, first agree to the Samsung’s privacy policy, allow the tool to locate your phone and accept those legal stipulations. Finally, click Agree.
  3. If you are sure that your phone is nearby and you can’t find it, click Ring. Then Ring again to have Samsung’s Find My Mobile and ring it. It will ring it at the highest volume even the sound is turned off in your mobile phone.
  4. Also there is an option to keep an eye on your phone till you get back. Go to the remote tools menu, select Track Location, then select Start.
    Note: The tool updates the location of your phone every 15 minutes. And also it displays a notification on your phone as the location is being tracked.


Use Samsung Phone Locator to secure your phone

If you want to keep your phone safe until you get there. There are some options available. You can put the phone in power saving mode or backup the data and even lock the device.

  • First go to the remote management menu. Then select Lock. It will tell the function of the Lock option as, you can now lock it, show emergency contact information on the screen, suspend bio-metrics, stop the use of Samsung Pay and stop anyone from turning off the phone. Select Next.
  • Then the tools will provide you the option to set a PIN to unlock the phone when you get it back. If you want to provide a phone number of yours if someone finds the device, you can enter a message to appear on the lock screen of your lost phone.
  • Or else if you are so sure that you won’t be able to find and retrieve your device you can erase all the data in the phone using the nuclear option. Select Erase Data first and then click Factory Data Reset. Erase Samsung Pay data as well.


Managing Your Phone With Samsung Find My Mobile

In Samsung Find My Mobile tool there are some options to control the functions of your device while it is lost. You can see your recent calls and messages from the same computer you are using to locate your device. And also you can extend the battery life in order to ring the phone when you are nearby to locate it.

  • Select Retrieve Calls/Messages
  • Next the tool will show you how the feature functions. Select Retrieve if you are planning to retrieve 50 of your recent calls and messages. Wait for about a minute after selecting.
  • If you want to extend battery life, you can do it remotely. ( Samsung Find My Mobile shows the battery level in remote management tools menu) Just select Extend Battery Life, then click Extend.
