Twitter has launched a new feature that allows the operator of a bot account to add a special tag to their profile so that others know they are a bot. Twitter says the feature is intended to help people distinguish good bots from bad bots as you scroll through your feed, read responses from others, and explore new accounts. This makes it easy to sort out the good bots from the bad by scrolling through its timeline. The social media app adds an “automated” tag to accounts owned by good bots so you know they’re trustworthy.
This bot accounts will have an image of a bot just below the username and labeled “Automated by”. All automated accounts will now have the option to add a new tag to their account profile. The tag will provide Twitter users with additional information about the bot and its purpose to help them decide which accounts to follow, engage with, and trust. Furthermore, it became an effective fundraising platform, when the Red Cross launched a mobile donation campaign that exceeded all expectations. Earthquake.
Twitter Coupons
Coupons can offer weather updates or breaking news or try to help start a customer request. They can also feature fun things like the aquarium emoji, which periodically tweets “a little aquarium with some cool fish, “A bot that some may consider bad but Twitter considers good, or at least rule-abiding, can also use the tag. For example, Elon Musk is known to be unhappy with this bot (citing security concerns), which continues to automatically tweet every takeoff and landing by his private plane (whether inside or not), but Twitter seems to agree with the account and its use of the label.
With the new feature, users behind these automated accounts can choose to let their followers know that they are dealing with a bot, even though the labels themselves don’t say whether the bots are good or bad.
Twitter has shown a somewhat novel willingness to shape the platform based on user feedback, so it will be interesting to see what happens when testing begins. It’s easy to find strong opinions for or against editing tweets, but it’s much harder to find out on a large scale what most people really want. Some veteran Twitter users have been crying out for an edit tweet button for years. While others are seriously concern that it will make misinformation and harassment. Even more difficult to manage on a social network. That is still plague with problems.

This is also working on a hashtag to commemorate those who have died. This tag was supposed to be implemented in 2021. But as far as I know, it is not available yet and Twitter refused to comment on it.
With the new Automated tag, Twitter could be trying to add a layer of trust and transparency. This is the company’s attempt to suggest that “good bots” exist. However, the process is quite simple and perhaps also open to abuse.
Automated accounts are subject to Twitter’s Automated Accounts Policy and General Platform Rules. Additionally, Twitter will not audit accounts that choose to apply the new labels. This means that malicious bot owners could simply opt out of reporting or opt out of the voluntary disclosure program. However, Twitter users can report accounts they think may be violating the rules.
