It will take that much time to evaporate the liquid from it. Do not insert the SIM card or MicroSD card until your phone get dry completely.

This way dry rice acts as a desiccant such as silica gel and it is a safe and natural alternative option that anyone can find at home easily. It will help to absorb the excess liquid in the device. As rice grains are bigger than the ports of the device, it will not enter the separations in the phone body and make blocks. You do not need to worry about that either.

Now you should review the terms of your mobile warranty. Liquid damage voids your manufacturer’s warranty and additional carrier coverage if any. There are some third party warranty vendors who offer coverage for accidental drops, spills, and submersion. Some of them are Asurion, Protect Your Bubble, and Square Trade. You can file a claim to replace your phone if you are covered by any of the mentioned warranties. The best thing is, no matter the phone currently seems to be a good condition to use. You can file a claim and get a chance to request a new device according to their rules.
