Issue 1: “Unfortunately, Facebook has stopped” error; How to fix
This can be a minor app crash. follow the below steps to fix this error;
- Go to the Home screen and tap the Apps icon.
- Find and tap on Settings.
- Select Applications, then find and select Application manager.
- Then Swipe to ALL tab.
- Then Find and tap Facebook.
- Select the Force Close button first.
- Then, tap Storage.
- Finally Tap Uninstall.
Now all you need to do is to clear the cache and data of the Facebook app. But if the error displayed again the problem should be isolated because other apps that are connected with Facebook for sharing might be causing the problem. Hence you need to boot your Galaxy S7 Edge in safe mode. To do this follow the below steps;
Steps to boot your Galaxy S7 Edge in the safe mode
- First press and hold the Power key.
- As soon as you see the ‘Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge’ on the screen, release the Power key and immediately hold the Volume Down key.
- Continue holding the Volume Down button until the device finishes rebooting. The device has finished rebooting when you see ‘Safe mode’ in the bottom left corner of the screen. Now you can release the Volume Down key.

If there is no update available or if the issue persists after updating then you might have no option but to reset your phone. It is better to do the master reset than the factory reset. - First backup your data in the phone.
- Then remove your Google account.
- Afterwards remove the screen lock.
- Power off your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
- Then press and then hold the Home and Volume UP keys, while still pressing the Home and Volume UP keys, press and hold the Power key. Once you press and hold the power key the phone will start to respond, But do not release the hold of any of the keys now.

- Afterwards the Android logo will display on the screen, now you can release both release both Home and Volume Up keys.Then leave the phone be for about 30 to 60 seconds. Then Android system recovery menu will open. This might open after displaying the message ” installing system update”. But it is just the first phase of the process.
- Then navigate through the options using the ‘volume down key’ and highlight the ‘wipe data / factory reset’ option. Then Press the power key to select ‘wipe data / factory reset’ option.
- Now you will be asked weather to delete all user data.For this highlight the option ‘Yes’ using the Volume Down key. Then press the Power button to select it.
- At this point the phone will do the Master Reset. Wait until this process is finished. After the process is completed, highlight ‘Reboot system now’ with Volume Down key and press the Power key to select it.
- Now the factory resetting process is completed. Your phone will take more time reboot on this time than usual.
Issue 2 : Facebook app keeps freezing and lagging; How to fix
If this problem occurred without an apparent reason, try cleaning the Facebook app cache and data. If the problem occurred after and Facebook app update then you might need to delete system cache because this problem might be due to some corrupted cache. Follow the following easy steps to delete system cache;

- First, power off your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
- Then press and then hold the Home and Volume UP keys, while still pressing the Home and Volume UP keys, press and hold the Power key. Once you press and hold the power key the phone will start to respond, But do not release the hold of any of the keys now.

If this process is failed, try to do factory resetting by following the below steps;

- Go to the the Home screen and tap the Apps icon.
- Then find and tap Settings and then touch Backup and reset.
- Then tap Factory data reset and select Reset device.
- If you have screen lock feature turned on, enter your password or PIN.
- select Continue.
- Tap Delete all to confirm your action and the factory resetting process will be completed.
Issue 3: Facebook app slows down or lags, Galaxy S7 Edge when it is open.
Follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue;
- First clear Facebook’s cache and data.
- Then boot your phone in safe mode and see if the app still lags in the safe mood state.
- Then try to see if there’s an update available for the Facebook app in the app store. Also check for firmware.
- Afterwards try to wipe the cache partition by booting your Galaxy S7 Edge
in recovery mode. - If all the above steps are failed, perform the master reset.
